Prime Big Deal Days is closed and Black Friday (November 27) is six weeks out – the camera side of our Black Friday planning works exactly like the robot side: flagships wait, accessories buy now. This is the security camera wishlist: one pick per tier, the floor price to hold for, and what to skip. It pairs with our robot vacuum wishlist from last week as the full HomeTechBench Black Friday kit. Based on how these models have priced across recent event cycles; we do not track live listings.
The short version: set these six targets, ignore everything above them, and buy in Black Friday week – the floors below are the ones this category has returned to for three straight years.
The wishlist
Tier 1: Indoor budget – under $30
Wyze Cam v4 – the 2.5K HDR indoor/outdoor value king. Target price: $29.99 (street $35.98). The $29.99 launch price is also its event floor – it returns every major sale.
Tier 2: Doorbell value – $40-60
Tapo D230S1 – 2K, color night vision, free microSD storage. Target price: $49.99 (street $69.99). The best per-dollar doorbell deal in the category when it hits.
Tier 3: Outdoor battery – $70-100
Ring Battery Doorbell Plus – the mainstream doorbell default. Target price: $69.99 (street $99.99). Ring’s event floor has been consistent across Prime Day, PBD, and Black Friday.
Tier 4: Flagship no-subscription – $150-200
Reolink Altas PT Ultra – 4K pan-tilt, ColorX night vision, no subscription. Target price: $169.99 (street $229.99). The most-watched target in the local-storage camp.
Tier 5: Premium ecosystem – $200-300
Ring Video Doorbell Pro 2 (wired) – the 24/7 wired flagship. Target price: $179.99 (street $249.99). Or eufy S330 with Home Base at $159.99 for the no-subscription flagship alternative.
Tier 6: Full coverage – $300-500
Reolink 4-camera or 2-camera Home Hub bundles – the local-storage multi-cam value. Target price: $299.99-399.99 for 2-4 camera kits (street $399.99-599.99). This is the tier where Black Friday bundles save the most – per-camera cost drops below $100.
What to skip at Black Friday
- Accessories and mounts: solar panels, mounts, and replacement batteries already hit their floors at PBD – Black Friday does not go lower. Buy them now.
- Subscription plans: Ring/Nest annual plans occasionally get small discounts, but never enough to justify waiting – the hardware floor matters more.
- Sold-out markups on the top targets: if the Altas PT Ultra or Ring Plus sells out at its floor, wait for the restock wave – Black Friday restocks are scheduled, and third-party markups never beat the floor.
Across Chinese owner communities
The camera side of the Black Friday playbook in Chinese owner communities is shorter and sharper than the robot side, because the category’s math is simpler: “监控等黑五,配件随时买” (cameras wait for Black Friday, accessories buy anytime). Their floor list echoes this wishlist with remarkable consistency – Wyze Cam v4 at $29.99, Tapo D230S1 at $49.99, Reolink flagships at their sub-$180 floors – and the community rule about bundles is the same one we encode: the multi-camera kits, not the singles, are where Black Friday actually saves hundreds. The recurring warning is also consistent: check the SKU before celebrating a floor price, because a Black Friday listing can be the de-featured “2025 revision” of the model you researched.
The honest catch

Three honest limits on any camera wishlist. First, floors are event-wide, not model-specific: the Black Friday wave rotates which cameras floor on which days – watch the whole week, not one day. Second, the “budget” tier has a subscription-shaped hole: Wyze and Tapo keep local recording free but their cloud plans (if you want them) add cost; a Ring at $69.99 plus $5/month for three years is $249 total – the floor price is only the hardware half of the math. Third, bundles at the floor can change content: a “2-camera kit” at Black Friday may include older cameras or no Home Hub – check exactly what is in the box. Save the list, set the alerts, and hold until the week.
Bottom line
The Black Friday 2026 security camera wishlist, by tier: Wyze Cam v4 at $29.99, Tapo D230S1 at $49.99, Ring Battery Doorbell Plus at $69.99, Reolink Altas PT Ultra at $169.99, the wired/ecosystem tier at $159.99-179.99, and multi-camera kits at $299.99-399.99. Buy accessories now (PBD was their floor), skip subscription plans, and watch the late-October previews for the signal that the floors are coming. Paired with the robot vacuum wishlist, this completes the HomeTechBench Black Friday kit – set the alerts, and let the calendar do the waiting.
